Common use of Duration of the Agreement Clause in Contracts

Duration of the Agreement. This agreement shall come into effect as of the 1st day of April 2012, and shall remain in effect until the 31st day of March 2015, and thereafter from year to year unless terminated by written notice given by one of the parties to the other within a period of not more than two months, but not less than one month prior to the anniversary date. In the event that either party desires to amend the Agreement but not to terminate the same, either party may, by notice in writing not more than 90 days and not less than 30 days before the anniversary date, serve notice of the proposed amendments and both parties shall thereupon commence to negotiate in good faith with a view to arriving at an agreement on the proposed amendments and all provisions of the Agreement, other than those proposed to be amended, shall continue in full force and effect.
