Duplicate Proceedings. 1. The Association and the University agree that this grievance procedure is the best forum for resolving issues of alleged contract violations. Consequently, the Association and the University will encourage any employee alleging a violation of the non-discrimination article to seek relief through this process. Notwithstanding the above sentence, employees may have rights to pursue claims or complaints through outside agencies, including the Office of Civil Rights and the Maine Human Rights Commission.
