Reappointment. In the event an ASF Member who has received severance pay is subsequently reappointed to a state university, future severance pay for the ASF Member shall be computed upon the individual’s unused sick leave balance accumulated since the reappointment.

Reappointment. In the event a faculty member who has received severance pay is subsequently reappointed to the Minnesota State Universities, future severance pay for that individual shall be computed based upon the difference between the amount of accumulated sick leave restored to the faculty member’s credit at the time of reemployment and the amount of unused sick leave at the time of the faculty member’s subsequent eligibility.
Reappointment. Except for unit members with soft money or non-renewable fixed length appointments, unit members who are reappointed beyond the probationary period shall receive a continuing appointment. Reappointment. When a member is reappointed to a position in a rank the member previously held, the member's rate of pay shall be the Step immediately below the Step at which the member was paid at the time of separation, (or at the Step at which the member was paid at the time of separation in the case of Sergeant and above) unless he/she is required to complete the recruit training program. A member in the training academy will be paid the same rate as a Step A Police Officer. Upon graduation from the Academy, the member will be reappointed to a position in the rank previously held and the rate of pay shall be the Step immediately below the Step at which the member was paid at the time of separation. The member must meet the continuous service requirements for that Step before being advanced to the next Step in his/her rank; prior service in that Step will not be credited for this purpose.
Reappointment. An employee with five (5) years of service or less shall be placed on a reappointment list for one (1) year. An employee with more than five (5) years of service shall be placed on a reappointment list for two (2) years. Reappointment shall be based on seniority within the department, discipline or specialty. An employee may, at any time while on the list or at the expiry of being on the list other than for reasons of reemployment into a continuing or probationary position, apply to the College to receive a severance payment in accordance with 3.5(b). An employee who elects the severance pay is deemed to have resigned and forfeits any further entitlement to reappointment under this clause.
