Doctor’s Notes. Sick leave for any absence for a period of five (5) consecutive working days or less may be certified by the appropriate Manager/Supervisor. Absence for illness exceeding five (5) consecutive working days shall be certified by a licensed medical practitioner and the Board reserves the right to demand a certificate in any case from a doctor named by the Board, and shall pay all costs if any. Where an Employee is absent for illness for more than twenty (20) consecutive working days, the Director or designate may require that a certificate be submitted by a licensed medical practitioner before the employee shall be entitled to payment under the Plan. The Board shall pay all costs for any certificate required under this article for a licensed medical practitioner.
