Common use of Designation of the Parties Clause in Contracts

Designation of the Parties. AGESC is a registered broker-dealer and distributor of the variable universal life insurance policies and variable annuity contracts set forth in Schedule A (collectively, the "Contracts"). USL is a Texas licensed life insurance company issuing the Contracts. The Contracts are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC").

Designation of the Parties. USL AGL is a Texas Delaware licensed life insurance company issuing the Contracts. The Contracts are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC").

A. USL is a Texas New York licensed life insurance company issuing the Contracts. The Contracts are variable products set forth on Schedule A and any successor or additional products registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC")) and approved by the New York Insurance Department (as discussed in Paragraph (c) of this section entitled "NEW PRODUCTS") and shall be collectively referred to herein as the "Contracts."
