Common use of Designation of Holidays Clause in Contracts

Designation of Holidays. 335. Except when normal operations require, or in an emergency, employees shall not be required to work on the following days hereby declared to be holidays for such employees: 336. January 1; the day designated for observation of Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s Birthday; the third Monday in February (Washington's Birthday); the last Monday in May; July 4; first Monday in September (Labor Day); the second Monday in October (Columbus Day); November 11; Thanksgiving Day; the Day After Thanksgiving; December 25; and any day declared to be a holiday by proclamation of the Mayor, the Governor of the State of California or the President of the United States. Provided, if January 1, July 4, November 11 or December 25 falls on a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday. Floating Holidays
