The Design Manager clause establishes the appointment and responsibilities of a party or individual tasked with overseeing and coordinating the design aspects of a project. Design Manager. 2 The Design Manager is responsible for coordinating the individual design disciplines and is 3 responsible for ensuring that the overall Project design is completed and design criteria and 4 requirements are met. This individual must be assigned to the Project full time and must be an 5 employee of (i) Developer, (ii) an Equity Member that holds at least a 1/3 beneficial interest in 6 Developer, (iii) the Lead Subcontractor, or (iv) the Lead Engineering Firm, and must be under 7 the direct supervision of the Project Manager. This individual must be on-site full-time until 8 completion of the Design Work and as required during the Construction Work of the Project. 9 This individual is responsible for design quality management and must have primary 10 responsibility for Design Work. This individual must be a registered or licensed professional 11 engineer, comparable to an Arizona registration, in some state or foreign jurisdiction at the time 12 of SOQ submittal, and must be a Professional Engineer. The individual’s relevant experience 13 includes the following:
14 A. 15 years on complex highway infrastructure projects.
15 B. 10 years managing the design of major urban freeways.
16 C. 5 years of major design-build project management of major urban freeway systems.
Design Manager. Design-Builder shall assign as Design Manager to supervise Design-Builder’s Design Services.
Design Manager. The Parties hereby designate FBCDD as design manager for purposes of (1) procuring and overseeing performance of services necessary for the completion of the Project Design; (2) coordinating the collection of amounts owed pursuant to the terms and provisions of this Agreement; (3) administering this Agreement; and (4) such other actions as may be reasonably necessary to implement the provisions and purposes of this Agreement. FBCDD agrees to use its best efforts and due diligence to cause the Project Design to be completed in accordance with and subject to the terms of this Agreement. It is the intention of the Parties that all common expenses incurred by FBCDD for the Project Design and under this Agreement shall be shared by the Parties in accordance with this Agreement. FBCDD shall preserve the books, records, charges and other records relating to all such costs and make them available during reasonable business hours in order for any Party to inspect to the extent necessary to verify their accuracy. If any such inspection reveals any inaccuracy in such ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ heretofore made, the necessary adjustment shall be promptly made by FBCDD.
Design Manager. The Design Manager must possess a recognised qualification relevant to the position and the Company’s Work and be experienced in the management and co-ordination of multi- disciplinary design teams on large projects similar to the Project Works.
Design Manager. The design manager ensures project requirements are properly defined–both in terms of work product inputs and deliverable outputs–based on quality expectations set forth in the RFP and our best practices. The DM works directly with SHA on properly aligning these expectations, proactively seeking additional information to establish our shared vision for the highest level of quality for the project. To aid in this effort at start of this project, the DM will work with you on approving a carefully prepared Project Management Plan that clarifies expectations for quality deliverables and the information necessary to produce them, including any special requirements. Meetings will be held with SHA individuals to reach agreement on, and document, the requirements.
