CORRELATION AND INTENT OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS 1. 2.1‌ The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work by the Contractor. The Contract Documents are complementary, and what is required by one shall be as binding as if required by all; performance by the Contractor shall be required only to the extent consistent with the Contract Documents and reasonably inferable from them as being necessary to produce the intended results. In the event of inconsistencies within or between parts of the Contract Documents, or between the Contract Documents and applicable standards, codes, and ordinances, the Contractor shall (i) provide the better quality or greater quantity of Work or (ii) comply with the more stringent requirement; either or both in accordance with the Owner or the Architect’s interpretation. The terms and conditions of this Paragraph 1.2.1, however, shall not relieve the Contractor of any of the obligations set forth in the Contract Documents.
