COPE Payroll Deduction Sample Clauses
The COPE Payroll Deduction clause authorizes an employer to deduct voluntary contributions from employees' wages for a Committee on Political Education (COPE) fund, typically associated with a union. In practice, employees who wish to participate must provide written consent, after which the employer regularly withholds the specified amount from their paychecks and remits it to the designated fund. This clause streamlines the process of collecting political contributions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and facilitating employee participation in union-supported political activities.
