Compressed Work Week Schedule. 22.1 The City of Red Deer will utilize Compressed Work Week Schedules, subject to Department Head approval, according to The City of Red Deer Administration Policy entitled "Compressed Work Week Schedules". The City will consult the CUPE Joint Labour Management Committee in the maintenance of the policy. When a request for a compressed work week is denied, the Department Head will provide the reason for denying the request in writing to the employees involved.

Compressed Work Week Schedule. (a) The Employer may establish a compressed work week schedule on any project providing the following conditions have been met:
Compressed Work Week Schedule. Compressed work week schedules may be implemented with regular average hours over the rotation cycle of the schedule not exceeding forty (40) hours per week. Mutual agreement between the Company and the employee shall be required before an employee hired prior to January 1st, 1998 is assigned to a compressed work week. For employees hired on or after January 1st, 1998, assignment of an employee to a compressed work week schedule will be at the discretion of the Company. Compressed Work Week Schedule. Employees who work in a 24-hour continuous operation or a 7-day per week operation and work on a compressed work week schedule and are scheduled to work on a holiday and actually work on the holiday shall receive the following: • Nine (9), ten (10), or twelve (12) hours of regular straight time pay for the worked holiday depending on the duration of their regularly scheduled workday that will be counted toward retirement service credit and be subject to retirement contributions from both the District and employee. • Eight (8) hours of holiday pay at the straight time rate that the employee may choose either to receive as pay or add to their vacation accruals. If taken as pay, holiday pay is a premium pay and is not subject to retirement withholding and will not be counted toward service credit. • Holiday premium pay equal to one-half of the duration of their regularly scheduled workday at their regular straight time rate that may be paid or added to their compensatory time accruals. If taken as pay, holiday premium pay is not subject to retirement withholding and will not be counted toward retirement service credit. The holiday premium pay equal to one-half of these regularly scheduled hours worked will be reported using a new payroll code.
Compressed Work Week Schedule. Developers shall provide information to Project tenants regarding the benefits of offering a compressed work week schedule to employees whereby their hours of employment may be scheduled in a manner which reduces trips to/from the worksite during peak hours for the surrounding streets.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week shall be thirty-five (35) hours and is composed of five (5) consecutive standard work days.

  • Work Schedule A 4/10 work schedule is four (4) ten hour days in a seven (7) day period, for a total of forty (40) hours per week.

All employees are entitled to thirty-two (32) consecutive hours free from work each week, unless overtime rates are paid, as per Article 29.02.
