Common use of Coach Officer Clause in Contracts

Coach Officer. An officer assigned the responsibility of Coach Officer under the Ontario Police College Recruit Training Program, or any other Recruit Training Program, shall receive sixty hours of non-cashable lieu days. Where more than one officer is assigned the duties, the lieu time shall be apportioned in relation to the time spent by each officer in the training of the new recruit to a maximum of fifty (60) hours. Upon completion of the coaching period, if the Chief of Police or designate assigns another officer as coach of that recruit, that officer shall receive twelve (12) hours of non-cashable lieu time for every ninety six

Where more than one officer is assigned the duties, the lieu time shall be apportioned in relation to the time spent by each officer in the training of the new recruit to a maximum of fifty six (606) days. Effective January 1, 2008, the maximum lieu will be 50 hours. Upon completion of the coaching period, if the Chief of Police or designate assigns another officer as coach of that recruit, that officer shall receive twelve (12) hours of non-cashable lieu time for every ninety six.
