Common use of Classified Clause in Contracts

Classified. 1. Each employee shall be paid in accordance with the approved salary schedule. 2. Employees will receive 12 years of experience within the salary schedule. For the purposes of this section, a year of service shall be defined as at least one‐half (50%) of the employee's work year. When there is a move from a classified position to a certified position, the employee will be placed on the beginning step of the appropriate salary schedule. 3. Classified Employees will not be required to use their personal vehicles for School District business during the workday. 4. The employees shall be compensated according to the current school year salary schedule as ratified by the Union in accordance with the Public Employees Bargaining Act (PEBA), approved by the School Board and NMPED of part of the District's current school year budget process.
