Chain of Custody. The Appointing Authority shall maintain a written record of the chain of custody of the sample and ensure proper handling thereof, and comply with the rules adopted by the Commissioner of Health pertaining to chain of custody; until the rules are adopted by the Commissioner, the written record shall include a signature of each person accepting transfer of the sample, the date and time of the transfer, and a notation about the condition of the seal at the time of the transfer.
