Cell Phones and Other Mobile Recording Devices. Cell phones and other mobile devices with recording capabilities, including voice recording, still cameras, and video cameras, are not permitted to be used in the locker rooms. Most cell phones have a camera and there is a risk of inappropriate photos being taken and possibly being posted on the web. No cell phone usage is allowed in any locker room. Parents are also required to abide by this rule and asked to step outside the locker room to use their cell phones. If phones or other mobile devices must be used, they must be taken outside of the locker room. It is permissible to have a team staff member collect phones. It is acceptable to take photographs or recordings in a locker room in such unique circumstances as a victory celebration, team party, etc, where all persons in the locker room are appropriately dressed and have been advised that photographs or recordings are being taken. Gender Equality In The Locker Room For Coed Teams One of the main goals of Compuware Youth Hockey [CYH] is to assure that all of our players feel like an equal and valued member of their team. With many co-ed teams, we recognize that privacy rights must be given consideration and offer gender equality to ALL our members. The Coed Policy attempts to balance the social integration and camaraderie of a team sport while providing a safe and respectful environment for all our participants. CYH complies with USA Hockey and MAHA bylaws and policies which offer guidelines to ensure both female and male privacy rights in a coed locker room setting. It is unacceptable for members to be observing the opposite gender while they dress or undress. Annual Consent for Media and Championship Celebrations in Locker Rooms I, as the parent/guardian of the Minor Athlete previously identified, hereby authorize and consent for my Minor Athlete to be part of recording and photography in locker rooms for the purpose of celebrating a sport or athletic accomplishment. I understand that my approval is subject to the following: (i) the Compuware Youth Hockey team will approve the recording and photography; (ii) there will be two or more Adult Participants present; (iii) everyone will be fully clothed for any recorded or photographed media and championship celebrations in the locker room.
