CalPERS Retiree Medical. The City has contracted with the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) to provide medical insurance for eligible retired employees and eligible survivors of retired employees. Eligibility to participate in this program will be in accordance with regulations promulgated by XxxXXXX. The City will contribute the minimum employer contribution under California Government Code §22892 on behalf of each eligible retired employee or eligible survivor of a retired employee who subscribes for CalPERS medical insurance in conformance with CalPERS regulations.
