Common use of Calculation of Service Clause in Contracts

Calculation of Service. (a) For the purpose of this clause, any Teacher if required by the Employer so to do, shall upon engagement establish to the satisfaction of the Employer, the length of his or her teaching service in any Pre-school, ECS Centre, Multi-Purpose Centre or in early childhood education 77 services for children up to eight years of age, or in the Infants Department of Schools registered or certified under the appropriate legislation in other States or Territories of the Commonwealth of Australia, and that period so established shall be taken to be the length of such service for the purpose of that employment.
