Common use of Benefit Plans Representative Clause in Contracts

Benefit Plans Representative. During the recent negotiations, the Union expressed concern with respect to servicing its members at certain locations on matters relating to pension, insurance programs, and SUB local appeal matters. Accordingly, it is agreed that, subject to the conditions set forth, the National Union, CAW may: Appoint one (1) Part-Time Salary Benefit Plans Representative, who shall be a regular salary employee on the active roll having seniority and working in the Windsor area offices. Such representatives shall function only so long as the number of represented employees on the active roll at those locations listed above remains at 51 employees or more. A Benefit Plans Representative shall be allowed up to a maximum of eight (8) hours per week without loss of pay for time spent in handling such benefit matters. Such aforementioned agreement is subject to the following conditions:
