Basis of Compensation Basic Services. 1.1 For performing the Services identified within Exhibit A - Scope of Services, the CITY shall pay ENGINEER a lump sum-not to exceed amount of $178,203.00 (Base Fee) as detailed below. ENGINEER may alter the compensation distribution between individual phases, tasks or work assignments to be consistent with the Services actually rendered, within the total lump sum amount.   • Basis of Compensation The Owner shall compensate the Architect/Engineer for the services provided in accordance with Article 7. Payments to the Architect/Engineer shall be as follows:
