Common use of Available Hours Clause in Contracts

Available Hours. When the Employer determines that a vacancy exists in any existing or newly created classification covered by this Agreement and the Employer determines that the vacancy will be opened, a notice of such opening will be published internally for employees covered by this Agreement for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days. When the Employer determines that hours are available and will be added to an existing position(s), it shall notify the employees in the same classification within the cluster or department. Employees shall submit their interest in the hours, in writing or by email, within seven (7) calendar days of the notice. If more than one employee expresses interest, the Employer will determine the appropriate distribution.
