Common use of Application for Vacation Process Clause in Contracts

Application for Vacation Process. a) Vacation preferences for the period starting May 15th and ending October 31st will be circulated by the program supervisor between April 1st and April 15th of each year. Employees will indicate what vacation time they would prefer for this period. Preference for vacation amongst Bargaining Unit staff will be given by Bargaining Unit seniority within each program. The vacation schedule will be posted by May 1st of each year. Vacation requests thereafter will be granted on a first come, first served basis if service requirements can be met. b) Vacation preferences for the period starting November 1st and ending May 14th will be circulated by the program supervisor between October 1st and October 15th of each year. Vacation shall be assigned as per 20.02 above and will be posted by November 15th of each year. c) Subject to Agency approval, it is understood that vacation may be taken as single days, half days, or as a combination thereof.
