AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES / REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION. 76. Americans with Disabilities Act. The parties agree that the SFMTA is obligated to provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities, in order to comply with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Employment and Housing Act and all other applicable federal, state and local disability anti-discrimination statutes. The parties further agree that this Memorandum shall be interpreted, administered and applied in a manner consistent with such statutes. The SFMTA reserves the right to take any action necessary to comply therewith.

  • AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) Contractor must comply with the ADA, which provides comprehensive civil rights protection to individuals with disabilities in the areas of employment, public accommodations, state and local government services, and telecommunications.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Disability Accommodations The Department does not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission to, access to, or operations of its programs, services, or activities. Individuals who need aids, alternative document formats, or services for effective communications or other disability related accommodations in the programs and services offered are invited to make their needs and preferences known to this office. Interested parties should provide as much advance notice as possible.

  • Whistle Blowing Protection The Employer agrees to adhere to the whistle blowing protection pursuant to the Long-Term Care Homes Act (LTCHA).
