Whistle Blowing Protection. The Employer agrees to adhere to the whistle blowing protection pursuant to the Long-Term Care Homes Act (LTCHA).

Whistle Blowing Protection. Provided a nurse has followed reasonable policies or procedures issued by the Hospital concerned to protect the Hospital’s entitlement to investigate and address any allegation of wrongdoing, nurses will not be subject to discipline or reprisal for the reasonable exercise of their professional obligations, including those related to patient advocacy.
Whistle Blowing Protection. No employee shall be disciplined, discharged, penalized, or intimidated as a result of reporting any alleged violations to the College or to another agency, provided the College has been notified of the alleged violation first. The College shall have thirty (30) days to investigate the alleged violation and report the outcome to the employee and the Union. The employee shall not report the alleged violation to another agency prior to the outcome of the investigation. All information shall be kept confidential for the thirty (30) day investigation period.
