Agency’s Exempt Status. The Agency constitutes a corporate governmental agency and a public benefit corporation under the laws of the State of New York, and therefore, in the exercise of its governmental functions, is exempt from the imposition of Sales and Use Taxes. As an exempt governmental entity, no exempt organization identification number has been issued to the Agency nor is one required. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Agency makes no representation to the Company, any Agent or any third party that any Sales Tax Exemption is available under this Lease Agreement.

  • Religious Exemption Any employee of the City in a classification identified in Article I.A., who is a member of a bona fide religion, body or sect which has historically held conscientious objections to joining or financially supporting a public employee organization and is recognized by the National Labor Relations Board to hold such objections to Association membership, shall upon presentation of membership and historical objection be relieved of any obligation to pay the required service fee. The Association shall be informed in writing of any such requests.
