Administering Medication. In the event no school medical personnel are employed by the district, bargaining unit members may be required to administer medication to pupils only when the following conditions are met: A. The parents or guardians have given prior written approval for the administration of the medication by non- medical personnel. B. The aforementioned permission is accompanied by a prescription and written instruction from the attending physician. C. Necessary equipment and supplies are provided. D. Prior training is provided with regard to medication protocol, equipment and procedures. Such training shall be provided at the Employer's expense within the teacher's regular duty day.
