Common use of Adjustment of Seniority Date Clause in Contracts

Adjustment of Seniority Date. An employee’s seniority date shall be adjusted by the period of an authorized unpaid leave of absence exceeding six (6) months.

(Layoff time shall not count as unpaid leave under this subdivision and an employee's seniority date will not be adjusted by the period regardless of an authorized unpaid leave length of absence exceeding six (6) monthslayoff.)
