Stripe Climate definition

Stripe Climate means a suite of features Stripe provides that are designed to enable you to create and run your own corporate climate program.

  • Stripe will not apply Stripe Climate Funds toward its own corporate or administrative costs.

  • Once you opt in, Stripe may deduct the Stripe Climate Funds from your Stripe Account balance or User Bank Account on a per-Transaction basis, or as an amount aggregated over a period of time, as described in your Stripe Dashboard.

  • Stripe may choose not to use your Stripe Climate Funds immediately after deducting them from your Stripe Account; rather, Stripe may allocate them after Stripe identifies a Climate Project.

  • As the goal of Stripe Climate is to help advance the field of carbon removal, many Climate Projects and companies funded will be in their early stages and their survival and success in addressing climate issues is not guaranteed.

  • You may opt out of Stripe Climate, or change or pause your contribution, at any time in the Climate settings page of your Stripe Dashboard.

  • You may make voluntary contributions to Climate Projects through Stripe Climate.

  • Stripe will allocate all Stripe Climate Funds to advance the carbon removal field, through activities such as purchasing metric tons of carbon removal or funding research and development for new carbon removal technologies.

  • Stripe will use reasonable efforts to fund impactful Climate Projects and suggest to you how much to voluntarily allocate to Stripe Climate.

  • These terms (“Stripe Climate Terms”) supplement the General Terms and govern your use of Stripe Climate.

  • If Stripe is required to withhold any Taxes as Section 4.4 of the General Xxxxx describes, it may deduct those Taxes from the Stripe Climate Funds.

  • School climate means the quality and character of school life with a particular focus on the quality of the relationships within the school community between and among students and adults.

  • Water treatment plant means that portion of the water supply system which in some way alters the physical, chemical, or bacteriological quality of the water.

  • Small municipal separate storm sewer system or "small MS4" means all separate storm sewers that are (i) owned or operated by the United States, a state, city, town, borough, county, parish, district, association, or other public body (created by or pursuant to state law) having jurisdiction over disposal of sewage, industrial wastes, stormwater, or other wastes, including special districts under state law such as a sewer district, flood control district or drainage district, or similar entity, or an Indian tribe or an authorized Indian tribal organization, or a designated and approved management agency under § 208 of the CWA that discharges to surface waters and (ii) not defined as "large" or "medium" municipal separate storm sewer systems or designated under 4VAC50-60-380 A 1. This term includes systems similar to separate storm sewer systems in municipalities, such as systems at military bases, large hospital or prison complexes, and highway and other thoroughfares. The term does not include separate storm sewers in very discrete areas, such as individual buildings.

  • Large municipal separate storm sewer system means all municipal separate storm sewers that are either:
