Seeking work definition

Seeking work means taking active steps to look for work such as registration at public or private employment exchanges, direct application to employers, checking at worksites, farms, factory gates, market or other assembly places, placing or answering newspaper advertisements, seeking assistance of friends or relatives, looking for financial resources, land, building, machinery or equipment, or permits or licenses to establish own enterprise.

  • Grant-Making Work means such work and activities relating to the management of grants outsourced to the Partner as described in the Partner Project Document. Grant-Making Work may be one component of a broader project, or the sole purpose of the project. Grant-Making Work may also include project design, project management and grant administration, monitoring and evaluation.

  • The Work means the work or works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • Building Work has the meaning given to it in section 6 of the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth);

  • Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • Contract Work means everything required to be furnished and done by the Contractor by any one or more of the parts of the Contract referred to in Article 1, except Extra Work as hereinafter defined.
