Professional Client definition
Examples of Professional Client in a sentence
A Retail Client is any client who does not satisfy the criteria to qualify as a Professional Client or Eligible Counterparty.
If the Client is classified as a Professional Client and wishes to be treated as an Eligible Counterparty, the Client must confirm in writing to Instinet the request to be treated as an Eligible Counterparty either generally or in respect of one or more Investment Services.
We will not permit the elective classification to a Professional Client if the above are not met.
Where on or after the date you became a Professional Client, the client, adds or funds any amount of whatsoever nature to the Client Accounts, the transfer of the amount shall be treated this as a transfer of full ownership of money to the Company for the purpose of securing or covering Client’s present, future, actual, contingent or prospective obligations, and the Company will not hold such money in accordance with the CySEC safeguarding Directive.
Where we treat you as a Professional Client, you will be entitled to fewer protections under the Law, than you would be entitled to as a Retail client.
