Such discharge must be made in accordance with the medical criteria outlined in the most current version of the “Guidelines for Prenatal Care” prepared by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists including, but not limited to, the criterion that family Members or other support person(s) will be available to the mother for the first few days following early discharge.

Prenatal care services means the comprehensive package of medical and psychosocial support provided throughout the pregnancy, including risk assessment, serial surveillance, prenatal education and use of routine specialized skills and technology as defined by Standards for Obstetric-Gynecologic Services issued by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and as required by state law.
The Contractor is responsible for arranging for the provision of comprehensive Prenatal Care Services to all pregnant Enrollees including all services enumerated in Subdivision 1, Section 2522 of the Public Health Law in accordance with 10 NYCRR Part 85.40 (Prenatal Care Assistance Program).
Grantee shall perform Prenatal Medical and Dental Grant Program and all other Contract requirements, including the Statement of Work, which is attached and incorporated herein as Attachment A.
Not only will Prenatal Care have been given, the birth team is on call for the client and spaces in our calendars have been set-aside for the birth and postpartum visits; precluding the birth team from engaging other clients.
