Packers and Stockyards Act definition

Packers and Stockyards Act means the Packers and Stockyards Act of 1921, as amended, 7 U.S.C. Section 181 et seq.

An MSW landfill may also receive other types of RCRA Subtitle D wastes such as commercial solid waste, nonhazardous sludge, and industrial solid waste. Portions of an MSW landfill may be separated by access roads. An MSW landfill may be publicly or privately owned. An MSW landfill may be a new MSW landfill, an existing MSW landfill or a lateral expansion.

  • Flea and tick insecticide means any insecticide product that is designed for use against fleas, ticks, their larvae, or their eggs. “Flea and Tick Insecticide” does not include products that are designed to be used exclusively on humans or animals and their bedding.

  • toxic waste or "toxic substance" under any provision of Environmental Law and shall also include, without limitation, petroleum, petroleum products, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls and radioactive materials;

  • Restricted use pesticide means any pesticide or device which, when used as directed or in accordance with a widespread and commonly recognized practice, the director determines, subsequent to a hearing, requires additional restrictions for that use to prevent unreasonable adverse effects on the environment including people, lands, beneficial insects, animals, crops, and wildlife, other than pests.

  • OHS Act means the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004;

  • Packer means a worker who packs goods for transport by air, post, rail or ship. Provided that a worker who packs goods for delivery by road transport where the destination of such goods is beyond a radius of 25 miles of the nearest post office to the employer's business, shall be classed as a packer

  • Health and Safety Laws means all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, secondary legislation, by-laws, directives, treaties and other measures, judgments and decisions of any court or tribunal, codes of practice and guidance notes which are legally binding and in force as at the date of this Agreement in so far as they relate to or apply to the health and safety of any person.

  • Pesticide means any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pest, or intended for use as a plant regulator, defoliant, or desiccant, other than any article that:

  • Anticorruption Laws means the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, or any other anticorruption or anti-bribery Applicable Law applicable to the Company or any of the Company Subsidiaries.

  • Anti-Corruption Law means any Applicable Law relating to anti-bribery or anti-corruption (governmental or commercial), including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended, and any other Applicable Law that prohibits the corrupt payment, offer, promise or authorization of the payment or transfer of anything of value (including gifts or entertainment), directly or indirectly, to any Person, including any Government Official.

  • Public Works Act means the Public Works Xxx 0000;

  • Applicable Anti-Corruption and Bribery Laws means international, federal, state, provincial and local laws, rules, regulations, directives and governmental requirements currently in effect and as they become effective relating in any way to the Contractor’s provision of goods and/or services to Authority, including without limitation “FCPA” or any applicable laws and regulations, including in the jurisdiction in which the Contractor operates and/or manufac- tures goods for the Authority, relating to anti-corruption and bribery.

  • WHS Act means the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2011 (NT) and includes subordinate legislation made under that Act including regulations and approved codes of practice as well as any amendment, re-enactment or replacement of such Act ; and
