Organic Materials Processing Facility definition

Organic Materials Processing Facility means the designated Organic Materials Processing Facility or such other facility selected by the CONTRACTOR and approved by the CITY, or specifically designated by the CITY, which is designed, operated and legally permitted for the purpose of receiving and processing Organic Materials including Green Waste and Food Waste.

Organic Materials Processing Facility means any facility or site used for the purpose of sorting, treating or reconstituting Organic Materials under controlled biological conditions using aerobic and/or anaerobic digestion processes and/or pre-processing facilities, and yielding a Compost Product or other product that results in diversion.

  • Organic Materials means, for the purposes of Section 9.4 of the Act, any chemical compound of carbon, including diluents and thinners which are liquids at standard conditions and which are used as dissolvers, viscosity reducers or cleaning agents, including polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins, polychlorinated dibenzofurans and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons but excluding methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, carbonic acid, metallic carbonic acid, metallic carbide, metallic carbonates, and ammonium carbonate are not organic materials.
