North Carolina Disputed Medicaid Amount definition

North Carolina Disputed Medicaid Amount means the amount written off during any month after October 2012 in connection with disputes arising in 2002 relating to the failure on the part of the claims processor (EDS) to correctly process certain Medicaid claims with North Carolina Medicaid, which amount shall not exceed an aggregate amount for all months of $24,000,000.

  • Appropriate office of the State employment service system means the local office of the federal-state national system or public employment offices with assigned responsibility for serving the area where the employment opening is to be filled, including the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

  • Applicable State Law For purposes of Section 9.12(d), the Applicable State Law shall be (a) the law of the State of New York and (b) such other state law whose applicability shall have been brought to the attention of the Securities Administrator and the Trustee by either (i) an Opinion of Counsel reasonably acceptable to the Securities Administrator and the Trustee delivered to it by the Master Servicer or the Depositor, or (ii) written notice from the appropriate taxing authority as to the applicability of such state law.

  • Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or “CMS” means the federal office under the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, responsible for the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

  • Qualified Medical Child Support Order means a Medical Child Support Order which creates (including assignment of rights) or recognizes an Alternate Recipient's right to receive benefits to which a Participant or Qualified Beneficiary is eligible under this Plan, and has been determined by the Plan Administrator to meet the qualification requirements as outlined under “Procedures” of this provision.

  • National Medical Support Notice or “NMSN” shall mean a notice that contains the following information:

  • Medicaid program means the federal program administered by the states under which certain medical items, services, and/or prescription drugs are furnished to Medicaid beneficiaries under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1396–1, et seq.

  • Licensed health care practitioner means a physician, as defined in Section 1861(r)(1) of the Social Security Act, a registered professional nurse, licensed social worker or other individual who meets requirements prescribed by the Secretary of the Treasury.
