Insurance/annuity agent definition

Insurance/annuity agent means an individual appointed or employed by a financial institution who solicits or procures applications for annuities; who in any way, directly or indirectly, makes or causes to be made any annuity contract for or on account of an insurer; and who has on file with the Commissioner of Insurance a certificate of authority from each insurer with whom the agent places annuities;

  • Insurance Policy With respect to any Mortgage Loan included in the Trust Fund, any insurance policy, including all riders and endorsements thereto in effect, including any replacement policy or policies for any Insurance Policies.

  • Insurance Company The Transferee is an insurance company whose primary and predominant business activity is the writing of insurance or the reinsuring of risks underwritten by insurance companies and which is subject to supervision by the insurance commissioner or a similar official or agency of a state, U.S. territory or the District of Columbia.

  • Special Primary Insurance Policy Any Primary Insurance Policy covering a Mortgage Loan the premium of which is payable by the Trustee pursuant to Section 4.04(a), if so identified in the Mortgage Loan Schedule. There are no Special Primary Insurance Policies with respect to any of the Mortgage Loans.

  • Insurance Coverage Contractor shall, at Contractor’s sole expense, procure, maintain and keep in force for the duration of this Contract the following insurance conforming to the minimum requirements specified below. Unless specified herein or otherwise agreed to by the City, the required insurance shall be in effect prior to the commencement of work by Contractor and shall continue in force as appropriate until the latter of:

  • FHA Insurance The contractual obligation of FHA respecting the insurance of an FHA Loan pursuant to the National Housing Act, as amended.

  • Certificate Insurance Policy The Certificate Guaranty Insurance Policy No. AB1094BE, dated the Closing Date, including any endorsements thereto issued by the Certificate Insurer to the Trustee for the benefit of the Holders of the Insured Certificates, a form of which is attached as Exhibit L hereto.

  • Primary Insurance Policy Each policy of primary mortgage guaranty insurance or any replacement policy therefor with respect to any Mortgage Loan.

  • Insurance Provider s Tender” means the completed Tendering Document submitted by the Insurance Provider to the Procuring Entity

  • insurance broker means an insurance brokerage firm,

  • Insurance Trustee means an entity authorized to carry on the business of a trust company under the laws of Alberta selected from time to time on resolution of the Board, whose duties include the receiving, holding and disbursing of proceeds of policies of insurance pursuant to these Bylaws and the Act. If no Insurance Trustee is appointed, then the Insurance Trustee shall be the Board;

  • Insurance premium finance company means a person engaged in the business of

  • Insurance Cover means the aggregate of the maximum sums insured under the insurance taken out by the Contractor pursuant to Article 20, and includes all insurances required to be taken out by the Contractor under Clauses 20.1 and 20.9 but not actually taken, and when used in the context of any act or event, it shall mean the aggregate of the maximum sums insured and payable or deemed to be insured and payable in relation to such act or event;

  • Insurer means a person who insures or guarantees for the benefit of the mortgagee all or any portion of the risk of loss upon borrower default on any of the mortgage loans originated, purchased or serviced by the Company or any of its Subsidiaries, including the Federal Housing Administration, the United States Department of Veterans’ Affairs, the Rural Housing Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and any private mortgage insurer, and providers of hazard, title or other insurance with respect to such mortgage loans or the related collateral.
