Housing Voucher definition

Housing Voucher or “Voucher” shall mean a direct subsidy that assists very low-income families, the elderly, veterans, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, which allows participants to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments.
Housing Voucher means the document issued by a PHA to a family eligible for participation in the Section 8 Housing Voucher Program under 24 CFR 887.

Examples of Housing Voucher in a sentence

  • Upon the request of the Authority, the Contractor will furnish any and all requested information or reports with respect to any and all matters relating to an awarded contract and the Housing Voucher Program in accordance with the Authority’s shipping and tracking procedures.
