Blocking Law definition

Blocking Law means (a) any provision of Council Regulation (EC) No 2271/1996 of 22 November 1996 (or any law or regulation implementing such Regulation in any member state of the European Union or the United Kingdom), and (b) with respect to each Lender that qualifies as a resident party domiciled in Germany (Inländer) within the meaning of section 2 paragraph 15 of the German Foreign Trade and Payments Act (Außenwirtschaftsgesetzg), section 7 of the German Foreign Trade and Payment Ordinance (Außenwirtschaftsverordnung).
Blocking Law means (a) any provision of Council Regulation (EC) No 2271/1996 of 22 November 1996 (or any law or regulation implementing such Regulation in any member state of the European Union or the United Kingdom), (b) section 7 of the German Foreign Trade Regulation (Außenwirtschaftsverordnung) or (c) any similar blocking or anti-boycott law.

  • Each Sanctions Provision applies to a member of the Group or other person only if and to the extent that the making of the applicable representations or undertaking and/or reference does not result in a violation of, conflict with, or create any liability for any person under any Blocking Law.
