Alcohol and Drug Test definition

Alcohol and Drug Test means generally accepted and proven test methodology or methodologies as recommended by the laboratory and medical experts selected by the City, consisting of screening methodology and confirmatory methodology; a screening test and a confirmation test.
Alcohol and Drug Test means a scientifically recognized test which analyses an individual’s urine, breath or in certain situations, saliva, for evidence of drug or alcohol exposure (Refer to Alcohol and Drug Testing Procedures contained in Appendix A);

  • Invalid Drug Test means the result of a drug test for an oral fluid specimen that contains an unidentified adulterant, or an unidentified substance, that has abnormal physical characteristics, or that has an endogenous substance at an abnormal concentration preventing the laboratory from completing or obtaining a valid drug test result.

  • Legend drug or "prescription drug" means any drug or device that has been determined to be unsafe for self- medication or any drug or device that bears or is required to bear the legend:

  • MHLW means the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, or the successor thereto.

  • PDMA means the Prescription Drug Marketing Act of 1987, as amended from time to time, together with any rules or regulations promulgated thereunder.

  • FD&C Act means the U.S. Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, as amended, and the regulations promulgated thereunder.

  • MFDA means the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada;

  • BLA means a Biologics License Application under the United States’ Public Health Services Act and Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act, each as amended, and the regulations promulgated thereunder, or a comparable filing seeking Regulatory Approval in any country.

  • Covered drug means any prescription drug that:

  • Drug use test means a scientifically substantiated method to test for the presence of illegal or performance-enhancing drugs or the metabolites thereof in a person’s urine.

  • Relevant Electric Retail Regulatory Authority means an entity that has jurisdiction over and establishes prices and policies for competition for providers of retail electric service to end- customers, such as the city council for a municipal utility, the governing board of a cooperative utility, the state public utility commission or any other such entity.

  • Prescription drugs means drugs, medicine and controlled substances which by law can only be prescribed for human use by persons authorized by law.

  • Drug Application means a new drug application, an abbreviated drug application, or a product license application for any Product, as appropriate, as those terms are defined in the FDCA.

  • Criminal drug statute means a Federal or non-Federal criminal statute involving the manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of any controlled substance.

  • FDCA shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in Section 3.1(hh).
