Hospital definition

Hospital means a facility that:
Hospital means any institution established for in-patient care and day care treatment of disease/ injuries and which has been registered as a hospital with the local authorities under the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010 or under the enactments specified under Schedule of Section 56(1) of the said Act, OR complies with all minimum criteria as under:
Hospital means (a) a place which is licensed or recognized as a general hospital by the proper authority of the state in which it is located: (b) a place operated for the care and treatment of resident inpatients with a registered graduate nurse (RN) always on duty and with a laboratory and X-ray facility: (c) a place recognized as a general hospital by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Hospitals; (d) other than a residence, a place where treatment in a Hyperbaric chamber can be received. Not included is a hospital or institution licensed or used principally: (1) for the treatment or care of drug addicts or alcoholics: or (2) as a clinic continued or extended care facility, skilled nursing facility, convalescent home, rest home, nursing home or home for the aged.

  • The Policy Holder shall provide the Company with the estimated fees to be incurred as furnished by the Hospital and/or attending Registered Medical Practitioner as required by the laws and regulations regulating the private healthcare facilities in Hong Kong at the time of request.

  • Follow-up dental treatment or oral surgery after discharge from Hospital shall not be covered.

  • This benefit shall be payable for the Eligible Expenses charged on miscellaneous charges where the Insured Person is Confined in a Hospital or on the day he undergoes any Day Case Procedure for receiving Medical Services.

  • This benefit shall be payable for the Eligible Expenses charged by the Hospital on the cost of accommodation and meals where the Insured Person is Confined in a Hospital or undergoes any Day Case Procedure or Prescribed Non-surgical Cancer Treatment.

  • All benefits described in these Terms and Benefits are not subject to any restriction in the choice of healthcare services providers, including but not limited to Registered Medical Practitioner and Hospital.

Hospital means an establishment duly constituted and registered as a hospital under the laws of the relevant territory in which it is established, which is for providing Medical Service for sick and injured persons as Inpatients, and which –
Hospital means an institution that: 1) operates as a Hospital pursuant to law for the care, treatment, and providing of inpatient services for sick or injured persons; 2) provides 24-hour nursing service by Registered Nurses on duty or call; 3) has a staff of one or more licensed Doctors available at all times; 4) provides organized facilities for diagnosis, treatment, and surgery, either: (i) on its premises; or (ii) in facilities available to it, on a prearranged basis; 5) is not primarily a nursing care facility, rest home, convalescent home, or similar establishment, or any separate ward, wing, or section of a Hospital used as such; and 6) is not a place for drug addicts, alcoholics, or the aged.
Hospital or "Institution" means a facility licensed to provide Treatment for the condition causing your Disability.
Hospital means a facility licensed as a hospital under the law of any state or a facility operated as a hospital by the United States, a state, or a subdivision of a state.

Hospital means a recognised hospital, private hospital or a hospital as defined under section 121-5(5)
