Common use of Working in Higher Classification Clause in Contracts

Working in Higher Classification. The Employer and the Union agree that the following procedure will apply when an employee is working in a higher classification. Employees performing in a higher classification for one hour or more in any one day will receive the rate of pay of the higher classification for the number of hours worked in the higher classification. An employee performing work in a lower classification will not suffer any reduction in pay.
