Common use of WORK CLOTHES Clause in Contracts

WORK CLOTHES. The Employer shall provide to each employee, free of charge, with the following: (i) One (1) pair of coveralls each week, to be serviced by a firm having an agreement with the Teamsters Union. (ii) The Employer will provide at his expense wet suits, hats and gloves to those employees requiring same to properly perform their jobs. Employees using such rain gear will be responsible as set out in Company regulations. The care of the above clothing and also equipment and tools furnished by the Company to individual employees shall be the responsibility of that employee, damage to or loss through the employee's carelessness may be subject to disciplinary action. In the case of "dirty jobs" the Employer will provide as many coveralls as are required. The employees shall clean "wet suits" on the job site unless otherwise instructed. Gloves will be replaced when required. Employees shall wash and dry gloves so they can be re-used.
