Weekend Holiday. All work performed by full time employees on any designated holiday or Sunday shall be paid at two (2) times the employee's base hourly rate of pay with the exception of DSP – Job Coach positions. The DSP – Job Coach hours shall be flexible to meet the needs and conditions of the vendor contract, and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Union will waive the premium pay for Holidays and Weekends for employees hired into these DSP – Job Coach positions. Benefit eligible Union members in these positions shall still receive their 12 holidays off with pay. If their scheduled workday includes a holiday, that holiday shall be recognized on an alternate day. If there is a need for reduction of staff or layoff, Temporary/Casual staff shall be eliminated prior to full time Union members. All regular/permanent positions shall be posted as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Weekend Holiday. Whenever a holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered to be the holiday. Whenever a holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered to be the holiday. Employees working an irregular workweek shall receive the same number of holidays as employees working the regular Monday through Friday workweek. Holidays, which occur during paid vacation or sick leave with pay, shall not be charged against vacation or sick leave accruals.

On weekends, most support services such as mechanical garages, etc are closed and therefore limited help is available, in any case.
Weekend Holiday. Friday is a holiday when regular holiday falls on Saturday, and Monday is a holiday when regular holiday falls on Sunday.

Holidays will be observed on the day of their occurrence 20 except that Sunday holidays shall be observed on the following Monday and Saturday holidays 21 shall be observed on the preceding Friday, provided that employees who work on a twenty-four 22 (24) hour, seven (7) day schedule shift operation shall observe the holiday on the day on which it 23 actually falls and not on Friday or Monday if it falls on Saturday or Sunday.
Weekend Holiday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday shall be considered to have occurred on the preceding Friday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the holiday shall be celebrated on the following Monday.
Weekend Holiday. DELIVERIES Unless otherwise specified by the Authorized User, deliveries will not be scheduled for Saturdays, Sundays or legal holidays observed by the State of New York except where an emergency exists or the delivery is a replacement or is late, in which event the convenience of the Authorized User shall govern.
Weekend Holiday. Where statutory holiday falls on a non working day (weekend), the Company shall arrange to move the statutory holiday to an alternate day off. Employees will be notified two (2) weeks in advance. All payroll matters and legal requirements to the statutory holiday shall apply to the alternate day.
