Water Meter. The water meter provided by the Board is guaranteed for a period of 1(one) year from the date of fixing. Within this period mal functioning of the meter will be replaced by the Board free of cost (This guarantee is provided for mal functioning of the meter only; physical damage is not within the purview of the guarantee). For damage or mal functioning of the meter after the expiry of the guarantee period, the cost of the meter will have to be born by the consumer for its replacement, at the rate prevailing during that time. If the meter is found damaged or tempered by the consumer after physical verification penalty will be charged double the prevailing cost of meter of the Board.
