Common use of Water Distribution Clause in Contracts

Water Distribution. The Stewards shall be recognized Union representatives for the purpose of investigating and processing grievances through the intra-divisional levels of the grievance procedure in their respective jurisdictional area. Stewards shall be permitted reasonable time during working hours without loss of pay to investigate and process grievances relating to employees in the jurisdictional area to which the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is assigned. If the presence of a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is requested at a grievance meeting, the appropriate ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be permitted to attend. A Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall obtain permission from his supervisor before leaving the job to conduct Union business. In the case of an approved leave of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, the Union President or Vice President may process grievances. In no case shall a vacancy exist for more than 30 days; in the case where a vacancy exists for more than 30 days, the Union shall appoint an Acting ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ from the respective area noted in Article 6, Section 2.
