Common use of Warnings Clause in Contracts

Warnings. Non-probationary employees who are discharged for performance or failure to perform work as required (including excessive absenteeism or excessive tardiness) shall first (1st) have had two (2) prior warnings in writing within twelve (12) months preceding the discharge of such performance or of related or similar failure to perform work as required, with a copy sent to the Union. The employee so notified shall be required to sign such notice, but such signing shall in no way constitute agreement with the contents of such notice.
