Common use of Wage Payment Clause in Contracts

Wage Payment. (a) The wages of all employees shall be paid every other Friday. A detailed statement showing the hours worked, the rate of pay, and an itemized list of deductions shall be given each employee at least every other pay-day. When the regular payday falls on a general or proclaimed holiday, the employee shall be paid wages up to and including the previous Saturday on the day immediately preceding such general or proclaimed holiday. (b) The Employer shall provide for the direct deposit (electronic funds transfer) of the employee's pay in a participating chartered bank, trust company or credit union of the employee's choice on or before the appropriate payday. Employee participation shall be compulsory.
