Common use of Voluntary Workers Clause in Contracts

Voluntary Workers. Voluntary organizations and workers perform services in the Hospital that are a valuable and necessary contribution to the welfare of patients and to the operation of the Hospital. Also, the Hospital engages in education and research which involve persons performing tasks and being taught to perform tasks which are similar or identical to work of employees of the Hospital. The Hospital shall continue to have the right to avail itself of any and all such voluntary services, and to engage in such educational and research activities. No regular employees shall be laid off because of work done by volunteers.
