Voice Grade Clause Samples
The "Voice Grade" clause defines the minimum quality standard for analog telephone transmission lines, ensuring that the lines are suitable for clear voice communication. In practice, this clause typically specifies technical parameters such as bandwidth, signal-to-noise ratio, and acceptable levels of distortion, which the service provider must meet. By establishing these requirements, the clause ensures reliable and intelligible voice calls, preventing disputes over service quality and setting clear expectations for both parties.
Voice Grade. Either an analog signal of 300 to 3000 Hz or a digital signal of 56/64 kilobits per second. When referring to digital Voice Grade service (a 56-64 kbps channel), the terms "DS0" or "sub-DS1" may also be used.
