Common use of VACANT POSTS Clause in Contracts

VACANT POSTS. 41.1 Should a vacancy arise and the Employer wishes to fill the vacancy, the Employer agrees to ensure that recommendations are made within a reasonable time. 41.2 The Employer shall immediately notify the Association in writing and post notices of vacant and new posts on all Bulletin Boards as soon as possible and/or circulate such notices to all staff for a minimum of one (1) week, so as to acquaint all employees of the Ministry or Department with such vacancy or new position. 41.3 The Employer agrees to ensure that recommendations are made in relation to filling existing vacancies or new posts; due consideration will be given to all employees who are qualified for the post.
