Vacancy Posting. When the Employer determines there is a continuing or temporary vacancy to be filled, the hiring Department shall submit a job opening to the Human Resources Department. Announcements of vacancies shall be posted on the official Human Resources Department web page. The posting shall state the first day of listing, shall remain open for applications from the first day it is officially posted for at least seven (7) calendar days and shall state the date at which bargaining unit consideration ends. In addition, the appropriate supervisor(s) shall notify bargaining unit employees in the department, by means of the supervisor's choosing, when a bargaining unit vacancy in the department is to be posted. Disputes regarding supervisory notification may be grieved under Article 21 but remedies shall not require reversal of the hiring decision. Postings shall include, at least, the classification, campus and work location of the job, salary and/or salary range, shift and hours of work, whether overtime or consecutive Sunday work are conditions of employment, a summary of the duties and essential qualifications for the job, as determined by the Employer. Vacancy Posting. Vacancy posting with a job description shall be given to the Clerical Council President in a timely manner. When the Employer determines there position is a continuing or temporary vacancy to be filled, the hiring Department Clerical Council President will be notified of the date of hire. A vacancy is defined as an opening in an established or newly created position. Ten month full-time employees shall submit be notified by mail of any such position being posted in the summer, if they have notified the Human Resources Center in writing. When a job opening vacancy occurs, the Human Resources Center will post the vacancy in a timely manner, not to exceed ten (10) working days after notification to the Human Resources DepartmentCenter. Announcements Exception may be made for full-time clerical position(s) in grant funded and performance- based departments/areas. Management reserves the right to replace vacant full-time clerical position(s) in grant funded and performance-based departments/areas contingent upon funding. Vacancy Posting. A copy of the job posting will be sent to the Chairperson of the Bargaining Committee. All applications for posted vacancies will be submitted in writing to the Employer by the closing date. An employee who accepts a job posting will not bid on another job posting for a time frame of 90 days unless the new posting results in an employee being scheduled for more hours, or converts a temporary position into a regular one, or is for a higher paid position. The Employer may extend the probationary period if it has concerns regarding the employee's performance, but in any case, not longer than an additional 157.5 hours worked. During an employee's probationary period he/she may not bid on another posting.
