Union Committee. 5.01 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or elect a Facility Committee of two (2) Committee persons and a Chairperson and alternates. Such Facility Committee shall constitute the Bargaining Committee. 5.05 The Company will provide a working station for the Chairperson that it may will include a desk, filing cabinet(s), telephone and access to a desktop computer and fax machine. The Company will also provide access to a confidential office for meetings.
5.06 The Committee person shall be necessary for a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to carry out her duties permitted during working hourshours and without loss of pay to investigate and process grievances in the administration of the Collective Agreement. 5.07 The company agrees that the Union Chairperson will be given an opportunity to interview each new employee including temporary employees within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for thirty (c30) minutes sometime during the first thirty (30) days of employment for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and team members shall not hold meetings at the employee's responsibilities and obligations to the company and the Union.
5.08 The Chairperson and the Committee persons will have super seniority. The Company agrees to retain Union representatives during any time on reduction in the Employer’s premises without workforce provided they are able to perform the express authorization of work available. c) The Employer agrees that a Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ duties of the Union will interview each employee after completion of thirty (30) days of employment for the purpose of signing up the new employee into the Union and further agrees that such interviews may be taken on Board’s premises. Each employee’s interview shall not exceed fifteen minutes in duration.
d) The Negotiating Committee will be comprised of members of the Union Committee as per article 6.01. The Employer will recognize up to interfere with 6 committee members as the Union Negotiating Committee.
6.03 Reasonable time off without loss of normal wages for negotiations or processing of grievances prior to arbitration shall be granted at the discretion of Management provided there is no additional wage expense incurred by the Employer’s universal care model and resident-focused care. ThereforeCost of replacement staff, so far as possible all activities of the stewards shall if required, will be carried on outside the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ working hours, unless otherwise mutually arranged between the Employer and invoiced to the Union.
(b) It is acknowledged that it may be necessary for a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to carry out her duties during working hours. 6.03 The Union shall notify the Employer in writing of the name of each ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and the department(s) he/she represents and the name of whom shall be the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. (b) It is acknowledged that it may be necessary for a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to carry out her duties during working hours. These meetings are not intended to impede or eliminate any of the rights of grievance as granted under this Agreement or any of the rights of the Employer, but to provide an avenue of mutual discussion of problems and concerns which may arise. These meetings shall take place during regular working hours and any employees involved shall not suffer loss of earnings as a result of attendance at these meetings.

7.04 Whenever possible, a committee member will obtain permission from the Department Coordinator’s or Executive Director’s or designate’s permission Manager of Employee Relations/Services before leaving her work area and undertaking regular duties and, if requested, will give a reasonable explanation as to the length of time spent in the performance of regular Union business. 6.05 The Union shall notify the Company in writing of the names of the stewards and the effective dates of their appointments. Union Committee.
