Common use of The Enhanced Child Clause in Contracts

The Enhanced Child. Restraint System shall be such that the child may be easily and readily restrained or removed. In the case of an Enhanced Child Restraint System in which the child is restrained by means of a harness belt or a Y-shaped belt without a retractor each shoulder restraint and lap strap shall be capable of movement relative to each other during the procedure prescribed in paragraph 6.7.1.4. below; in these cases the Enhanced Child Restraint System belt assembly may be designed with two or more connecting parts. For Special Needs Restraints it is recognized that the additional restraining devices will restrict the speed by which a child can be restrained and removed. However, the additional devices shall be designed to release quickly so far as possible;
